East Jerusalem: The Jerusalem Municipality prefers National Parks to neighborhoods for the Palestinian residents of the city
Bimkomhas released a new report: "From Public to National – National Parks in East Jerusalem." The report is an in-depth, first of its kind, investigation of existing and planned national parks in East Jerusalem.
These national parks are at different stages of planning and implementation, but, according to the report, their conglomeration points toward a new trend: the designation of areas as national parks instead of open and public ones has become a tool for limiting the development of the Palestinian neighborhoods of Jerusalem.
